Can I increase the level for better results? A safe decision rule

Short answer: You should only increase IPL levels if your skin has stayed consistently calm, your schedule is steady, and coverage is solid. Raising levels does not fix suitability or spacing issues.

Most stalled progress comes from routine problems, not “not enough power.”

A simple decision rule

  • Skin calm? No building redness, pain, or darkening.
  • Weekly rhythm? No frequent gaps.
  • Coverage consistent? Pattern, spacing, shaved skin.

If all three are yes → you can cautiously test a higher level. If any are no → fix those first.

When raising the level usually backfires

  • When results are patchy.
  • When sessions are irregular.
  • When skin is already sensitive.
